Both sides were defeated by Armagh in earlier rounds of the Rackard Cup, Louth losing 0-20 to 1-8 at home in Round 1 on May 5th, while Sligo lost 1-20 to 0-8 in Crossmaglen last Saturday in Round 2. These results would suggest that a close game is on the cards on Saturday. Indeed when Sligo and Louth met in Round 2 of the Allianz NHL in Markievicz Park on 11th March, the match finished level 2-13 to 1-16. We wish player manager Declan Loughnane and the team the best of luck on Saturday in their quest to reach the semi-final stage.
