Our senior lads had a team day on Saturday and travelled to the Galway
V Sligo game in Pearse Stadium. On the way we played Tuam Stars in a
challenge match in Tuam. It was a good tempo game with both teams
preforming well and putting up some nice scores. It was great
preparation for this weekend’s championship fixture against
Tourlestrane. After the game the lads travelled to Salthill to
whiteness a magnificent Sligo victory. The club wishes to thank Tuam
Stars for hosting the game and all who were involved in organising the
day.
The senior team play the second round of the championship this Sunday
against Tourlestrane at 3.30pm in Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry. This is
our biggest game of the year so far and after our victory in the first
round we want to continue the winning trend. The club urges all
members to get out and support the lads and we wish the team the very
best of luck.
Junior A team played St Patricks on Sunday. The first half was fairly
even with both teams adding good scores. We were able to push ahead
and go in at the break with a slight lead. The second half was a
totally different affair with the Johns men stepping up their game and
take charge. The lads racked up some excellent scores, including three
goals, and played some excellent football - especially Killian Sweeney
who bossed the midfield - to win the game comfortably in the end by a
score of 3-12 to 0-09. The team that started was Noel Hynes, Brendan
Tierney (C), Ciaran Clancy, Paul McLean, Kazim Clarke, Robbie Fahy,
Joey Mitchell, Killian Sweeney, David Burke, Robbie Galvin (2-03),
Sean Reilly (0-02), Dillon Healy (0-02), John McNulty, John Reilly
(1-01), Brian Keeney (0-04). Subs used Conor Heffernan, Christy
Murphy, Conor Greene. Best on the day were Killian Sweeney and Robbie
Galvin. The club wishes to congratulate Owenmore Gaels who have won
the division 3 league.
Junior B game against Owenmore Gaels was due to take place Friday
evening last but was postponed due to the poor weather conditions.
Details of our next game will be texted to players and posted on
facebook and twitter.

they, and the rest of teh county, will be at the Connaught Final in 5
weeks’ time.

the meeting this Wednesday. Lotto tickets are also available; they
