Curry are the Champions after a well deserved win over St.Mary’s in the Belfry Senior Club Championship.  It was an excellent final refereed by John Griffin and played in ideal conditions. St.Mary’s looked threatening right through the contest but when they failed time and again to capitalise on their chances it all went Curry’s way. Stephen Coen converted a penalty to leave only one point between the sides with twelve minutes to go but the remainder of the scores came from the South Sligo club to give them a comfortable six point margin in the end.

The “green jersey” was worn by all on the podium as Cathaoirleach Cyril Feehily presented the Owen B Hunt Cup to his own Clubman Sean Davey.
