The 2013 club football scene got well underway last weekend with both
our Senior and Junior Mens teams taking to the field.

The Senior Men got their season off to a great start in the first
round of the Kiernan Cup with a 2-23 to 2-7 victory over St.
Patrick's. The team have their next outing on Saturday when they take
on neighbours, Curry, in Round 2 at 4.30pm in Tourlestrane.

The Junior Men put in a good performance in their opening round of the
Abbott Cup but goals made the difference and they suffered defeat at
the hands of neighbours, Cloonacool, on a scoreline of 3-7 to 1-7. The
team take on Bunninadden this Sunday morning in Tourlestrane at
11.30am.

The U-16 boys start their league campaign this coming Sunday with an
away test to St. Molaise Gaels at 11.30am. Managed by Mattie Brennan
Leo Gaughan, Matthew Brennan and Gary Gaughan, we wish the team the
best of luck with their coming season.

The Minor boys start their league campaign with a home game with
Tubbercurry/Cloonacool on Monday the 18th of March.

The Senior Ladies are continuing to train for their upcoming season
with training on Fridays and Sundays. All new players welcome. Check
out the Facebook group "Tourlestrane Ladies GAA" for the latest on
training. Games due to start in the coming weeks.

Indoor Hurling for U9, U11 & U13s every Monday evening in Banada Abbey
Hall from 6-7pm. Indoor hurleys provided but please bring a helmet. A
rota to help with supervision will be drawn up if some volunteers are

Training for U-8s in Hall on Wednesday eve from 6.30 -7.30pm and u-10s
from 7.30 -8.30pm.

Club hoddies, polo tops, jerseys, and small amount of training tops in
all sizes avaliable. Contact Therese on 086-3471371.

Congratulation to the St. Attracta's CS Senior Boys football team who
beat St. Joseph's on Wednesday last on a scoreline of 3-15 to 1-5.
Goals came from club players Kenny Gavighan and Cathal Henry. The team
now play St. Aloysius College, Athlone, in Elphin on Saturday at
1.30pm and your support would be greatly appreciated. Best wishes to
our own club players and the rest of the St. Attracta's team and
management.

Hard luck to the Sligo Men and Ladies who suffered defeat to Monaghan
and Leitrim in their respective games on Sunday last.
The Club featured on Oceam FM in the AIB GAA Club Focus last month.
