Club Championship:
As
the eagerly awaited 2013 Club Championship is upon us next weekend, we wish all
Clubs the very best of luck in this year’s championship season. On Saturday
next 3rd of August Markievicz Park will host the 1st
Round of this year’s Club Championship games as Drumcliffe/ Rosses Point take
on Calry/ St. Josephs at 5.45pm in Group D, followed by the 1st of
the Belfry
Senior Football Championship matches as Tubbercurry take on St. Molaise Gaels
at 7.30pm.
On Sunday 4th
August the remaining 1st Rounds of the Belfry Senior Football Championship continues with a Double
Header in Bunninadden Community Park where Tourlestrane play Ballymote in Group
C at 6pm followed by curry taking on Eastern Harps in Group A. While over in Ballymote’s
Corran Park another Double Header will be taking place where the 1st
of the Kennedys Intermediate Championship opens where Group A Shamrock Gaels
take on Owenmore Gaels at 6pm followed by the 3rd Belfry Senior
Football Championship game of the evening sees St. Marys take on Geevagh at
7.30 in Group D.
In the West, Easkey host another Double Header in the Intermediate
Football Championship with an All West derby in both games as St. Pats take on
Castlconnor at 6pm in Group B followed by Enniscrone/Kilglass against St.
Farnans at 7.30pm.
Coaching
The successful Kellogs Cul Camp continues into its final week this
week. Camps this week are in St. Farnans, Calry/St. Josephs, Owenmore Gaels
& Curry. Great numbers of kids have been coming to these camps. The County
Board would like to thank Liam Og Gormley Sligo Games Manager for co-ordinating
the over-all running of the Kellogs Cul Camps in the county and his team of
young coaches in the various designated grounds. We would also like to thank
all the co-ordinators in each of the club venues.
