The Intermediate team faced Tourlestrane for the second time in a fortnight when they clashed in the first round of the new 11-a-side league at the South Sligo side’s home venue on Sunday last. The absence of our three county panellists who are not allowed to play in this competition as well as a number of other regulars always dictated that this would be an uphill struggle and so it proved to be but the displays of a number of our younger players were most encouraging. The U-16’s get their campaign off to a start this week with a home game against Curry on Tuesday.
