Senior : On Friday Our Seniors played Tubbercurry in Kieran Cup , in a contest which was always very close we could never get close enough as Tubbercurry ran out winners by a goal . Tubbercurry 1-9 St.Mary’s 0-9 . In a busy Easter weekend Our Seniors were out again against Tourlestrane in the league once again our lads came up short even though we lead at the break by 5 points but Tourlestrane regrouped at Half time and we found the going hard as they outscored us in the second half as Tourlestrane held on for two point victory . Next Friday we are at home to Curry throw in 7.30 please come out and support the lads .

Junior : On Saturday evening, in the middle of a busy weekend for adult footballers in St Mary's, the juniors welcomed Curry to Kent Park. Missing a few players the juniors were still able to name a strong starting 15 with reliable options on the bench. In the opening exchanges Cian McKeon and Michael Ward marshalled the back line well. Up front it was a welcomed return to the O'Grady brothers Kiki and Conor. An early hand injury to David Rowland restricted his usual style of football in midfield but he still battle tirelessly to the  end of the game. At half time Mary's lead by a couple of points but knew they were in for a battle in the second half from a well organised Curry team. The second half started with both teams exchanging scores before Curry scored their first goal after a goal mouth scramble. Curry continued to press hard before a Conor O'Grady penalty brought Mary's back into contention. A goal keeper error gifted curry with their second goal of the game. Not panicked by the goal Neil Smyth began to lead by example and drove Mary's forward. Three unanswered points from Mary's drew the game level. In an exciting end to the game both teams exchanged a point each before Michael Duffy blew the full time whistle. Mary's were very impressive with their never say did attitude on the day. The game finished 2-11 a piece. The team was Sheerin, McKeon, Mahon, Ward, O'Donnell, Murphy, Keaveny, Smyth, Rowland, Cawley, Blake, O'Grady, Devins, Kiki, McGoldrick, subs Marshall, Gavin, Hargadon.

The Juniors play in the Abbott Cup on Saturday 26th at 4.30pm in St Patricks, Skreen. Come out and support them.

Training continues Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm all players to attend.
