McCormack’s Opel Carraroe, Sligo invite members from all GAA Clubs throughout the region along to our “Kit for Clubs” night on Wednesday the 13th of August at 6.45pm at our Showroom in Carraroe.
We are happy to invite members from all GAA Clubs throughout the region and encourage all, to bring along your youth members in their Club Colours to meet, chat and get autographs from the Opel Kit for Clubs Ambassadors(see below)
As you may be aware, Opel Kit for Clubs is Opel Ireland’s grassroots initiative offering GAA clubs the opportunity to earn free sports kit and equipment for their teams. Opel Kit for Clubs is Opel’s way of giving something back to the GAA Community. For every car service (10 points), test drive (10 points) or Opel car purchase (200 points) made through the Opel Dealer Network, your club will be awarded points which can be built up and redeemed against high quality kit for your club.
GAA clubs can choose from an extensive range of kit, which includes everything from sliotars (5) and footballs (10), to goal posts (100 points) and sets of jerseys (juvenile sets from 800 points and adult sets from 1200). The sets of jerseys have proved particularly popular, with teams able to choose sets from suppliers O’Neill’s or Masita, as well as having the option to include their local club sponsor on the jerseys for extra points. With kits and equipment representing a significant annual investment for GAA clubs across the country, taking part in the Opel Kit for Clubs initiative can help clubs reduce operational costs each year. Over the past three years, in excess of €280,000 worth of gear has been given away to GAA clubs, with €136,000 in 2013 alone.
Opel Kit for Clubs also have lined up brand ambassaodors for the 2014 season. The players who will be joining us on the night are Joe Canning (Galway) and Ciaran Kilkenny (Dublin).
