Hurling
Cahalan Cup
Easkey/St.Farnans u14 Hurlers captured the Cahalan Cup (The Suck Valley League) on Saturday.
This was the first year Sligo participated, and our lads did us proud. Having progressed through the group stages earlier in the year (vs Manorhamilton, Toreen, Roscommon Gaels), wins on the day against Kiltomer of Galway, and Toreen of Mayo saw our lads meet Abbeyknockmoy of Galway in the Cup Final. This was a tough encounter, and our lads, behind at halftime, dug deep and emerged winners on a scoreline of 2-11 to 2-7. Well done to all involved.
Easkey/St.Farnans u12 hurlers compete in the same competition this Saturday, also at Padraig Pearses.
