IFC Group Stages: Easkey 3-10 Bunninadden 2-14
The intermediate team had a 1 point loss in their final Group A game which was played on Saturday in Quigabar. An early 1st half goal from Dessie Burke and a fine display from Full-Forward Dessie Sloyan and minor Ian Barrett ensured Easkey led by 2 points with just over 5 minutes remaining in the 1st period, however a converted penalty was closely followed by another goal from Bunninadden in the final minutes of the 1st half and they led at the break 2-07 to 1-05.
The momentum stayed with the Bunnies for the majority of the 2nd half until one of their players was dismissed late on for a 2nd bookable offence, by this stage they led by 9. A spirited fight back from Easkey including goals from Kevin Duffy & an excellent effort from James Lindsay was not enough however as Bunninadden had the minimum to spare at the final whistle.
Next game for Easkey is a quarter final playoff vs Enniscrone/Kilglass this Sunday 31st.

Next game is at home vs Tourlestrane tomorrow Wed.27th at 7pm. All players needed to attend
U12
In the U12 Football Finals in Markievicz Park this Saturday 30th, Easkey play Tourlestrane at 11am.

HURLING
u16 Championship Semi-Final
Easkey/St.Farnans defeated Naomh Eoin on Monday evening, 1-17 to 0-05.
Final vs Coolera/Strandhill will take place on Monday 8th Sept. at 7pm in Markievicz Park.
U14 Championship Quarter-Final
Easkey/St.Farnans defeated Tourlestrane on Friday 6-08 to 1-04
Date and time of semi-final not yet known.
u12 Hurling
Despite finishing well in the competition (winning both of their only 2 games), our young hurlers will not be afforded the opportunity to play in the Hurling Finals in Markievicz Park this evening Tuesday 26th.
We wish all the other young players taking part the best of luck, and hope they enjoy the great experience.
National Hurling Blitz at Newry
Good luck to all of our club players, on the County u14 and u16 panels, taking part in the the Natinal Hurling Blitz in Newry this Saturday.
