The week started off on a great note with the u/16's claiming the County "C" Championship defeating St Johns by 1-09 to 0-06.
Congratulation to all the team and management team on a fantastic achievement.
On Tuesday night the u/14 girls qualified for the County Final defeating Curry to book a place against St Nathy's in the decider on 18th October.
The girls had a great outing to Croke Park to see the TG4 Ladies All Ireland Finals on Sunday, and great credit goes to the organisers and to the parents who gave up their time to travel, without this effort, these trips would not happen for our younger members.
The u/9's and u/11's had a fantastic outing in the Urban League Finals on Saturday evening last with the u/11's winning their Final, but the u/9's lost out in the decider to a very strong Owenmore Gaels outfit. these lads have put in a huge effort all year and great credit is due to them and to their coaches!
In the Junior championship, the lads went down to Coolaney Mullinabreena by 1-18 to 1-09.
The Intermediates cruised to victory over Eastern Harps scoring 6-17 to The Harps 0-01.
Probably the biggest weekend of the year so far coming up with the Minors playing in the County Final against St Marys on Saturday in Markievicz Pk, throw in is at 3pm. Then on Sunday, the u/14's play Bunninadden in the County Semi final at Hazelwood, throw in 12pm.
Sunday afternoon at 4.15pm the big one throws in, we face St Pats in the Kennedy's Intermediate Football Championship Semi Finals.
These teams have put in a huge effort all year to get to this stage and deserve all the support they can get so please come out and support you local team.
Best of Luck Lads!!!
Finally, the annual Hugh McLoughlin u/11 tournament will this year take place on Saturday 18th October. So please try and keep this date free as we will be looking for as much help as possible.
