This coming Sun. Oct 12.th.  sees the culmination of the hurling season
with the Senior Championship Final taking place at Markievicz Park at
1.45pm in a novel double header with the Senior Football Championship Final at 4pm.
The pairing for the final this year sees a return to the Calry-St. Joseph’s vs.
Western Gaels clashes of previous years when they both contested the 2008 and 2009
finals with Calry having the upper hand then. Calry will again start as favourites based on
their successes of recent years but Western Gaels will not be overawed by this in any way and will
provide a very stiff challenge in the final.
