The Belfry Senior Football Championship Final takes place this Sunday in Markievicz Park, Sligo in what promises to be an action packed day.

The programme of events begins at 1.45pm when Calry/St.Joseph's and Western Gaels battle it out for the Senior Hurling Championship Final. 

Following that game the Jubilee Senior Team of Curry and Minor Team of Coolera/Strandhill will be introduced to the Crowd having been 50 years since they won their respective titles. 

Galway 3 in a row winner Sean Meade will also be introduced to the crowd on the day and his All Ireland medals won in 64, 65 and 66 will be on display for photos etc at the Main entrance to the Park. 

The U10 Teams from St.Mary's and Tubbercurry will take to the field during half time in the Final to display their skills.

The Senior Football Final itself throws in at 4pm when St.Marys and Tubbercurry go on the hunt for the Owen B Cup. Will the Cup stay in Sligo Town for the first time since 2001 or will it head to the South Sligo town after an absence of 23 years. All will be revealed on Sunday. or will it!
