Hard luck to the Intermediate team who went down 4-9 to 0-6 to Calry/St Josephs in the Championship final last Sunday. The Gaels never recovered from two early goals and it was not to be our day. The team was: Donal Tuohy, Colin Harte, Paul Higgins (capt), Paul Brennan, Shane Barry, Niall Henry, Michael Hannon, Liam O’Connell, Frank Quinn (0-2), Ciaran O’Connor (0-2), Vinnie Boyd (0-1), Derek Davey, Paddy O’Grady (0-1), David Quinn, Keith Candon. Subs: Niall Brennan for L O’Connell, Joe Quinn for K Candon,  Mark Tuohy for Vinnie Boyd, Declan Willis for D Davey, Eoin O’Connell for M Hannon, Gearoid McTiernan for C Harte. Thanks to the large amount of supporters who came out to support the team – it was disappointing not to get a result – however this is a young team and we will be back next year. We wish Calry/St Joseph’s the best of luck in the Connacht Championship.

Congrats to Tubbercurry on winning the Senior Championship last Sunday.

The Boys and Girls U14 Teams both take part in ‘A’ Championship finals next Sunday. The Girls take on Drumcliffe/Rosses Point at 11.30AM while the Boys take on Eastern Harps at 1.30PM in Collooney. Please come out and support both teams who are coming to the end of a long season.

There was no winner of the lotto last week. The numbers drawn were 13, 15, 31, 32 – there was one match 3 winner, Joe Quinn. The next draw is in Tommy Macs next Saturday when the jackpot stands at €1,900.

The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Owen Gormley, Bunninadden who died last week.
