Well done to the Hurlers who took another step in defending their Connacht Title when they narrowly defeated Carrick Hurling in Ballinamore on Monday, on a scorline of 1.09 to 0.08. Dara Cox again hitting the back of the net with an unstoppable drive.

On Sunday next, the Footballers travel to Tuam to take on Galway Champions Killanin. Throw in 2pm. Best of luck to the lads and lest hope they can continue their  rich run of form. A Supporters bus may be arranged for this game depending on interest, watch the Facebook page and local media for more info.

Sincere thanks to all who made the teams return home to Hazelwood a memorable one on Sunday night. 

We need more of these nights in our Parish and Club!!

Hard luck to our u/14's who went down narrowly to Enniscrone in their Co Final last Saturday and well done to all who took part in the Hugh McLoughlin Memorial Tournament. Congratulations to the winners Bunninnaden who eventually triumphed by a single point over the local outfit after extra time.

A special word of thanks to the organisers  and in particular to Edel Hackett for keeping all the troops fed and watered!

Our friend Joe Brolly's documentary "Perfect Match" will be aired again by RTE on Wednesday night 29th at 11.15pm. This of coure featured our own Gary R.I.P.

The Club extends its sincere condolences to the Kerr Family Fermoyle on the death of Jim, and to the Davey Family Ballure on the death of Teresa's sister, May Monaghan, Kinvarra Co Galway.

May they rest in peace.
