Coolera/Strandhill GAA Club notes
At the recent monthly meeting which was held at the clubhouse, our new chairman Philip Maree chaired a busy meeting, Cathal Martyn was gladly proposed as our new Secretary along with Peadar Macken as vice chairman. Rose Cawley holds position as Treasurer ably assisted by Joe Gildea. Patsy Prior as Pro along with Club Children's Officer Rita Cadden. Trusting that the year ahead will be a progressive and prosperous one for our club. The Club lotto No's drawn were 11,12,20,26 and there was one match 3 winning €50.00. Patrick Healy, Grange East. Well done Patrick. Lotto now stands at €3,100.00 The GAA National Club Raffle tickets need to be returned sold or not by Friday Jan 23rd next to Eamonn Mullen or any committee member. Our Musical Treat returns to Star of the Sea Church, Ransboro on Sunday Feb 8th at 7.30pm. Tickets are €10.00 and are great value for such an entertaining night. Our local Baritone Jonathon Carter along with Kieran Quinn, Soprano Sinead Conway and surprise guests. Bro. Kevin Crowley, Capuchin Day Centre, Bow St, Dublin will be in attendance. Tickets available at the usual local outlets and any committee member amongst others. Well done to Maeve Macken, Maeve McGoldrick , Erin Russell, Evelyn Steen, Niamh Fitzgerald, Louise McGoldrick, Karina Parkes, Sara McKiedy who represented Sligo at the Connacht Scor Na nOg U17 Figure Dancing in Claremorris at the weekend. Well done girls you did us proud. The County Scor Na nOg table quiz takes place on Jan 25th next in Corhownagh Hall, Ballisodare. Good luck to our representatives.
