Electric Ireland will reward the GAA Club that performs the most kind deeds during Powering Kindness Week

Thursday, 22nd of January 2015: Electric Ireland, as part of Powering Kindness Week, is calling on GAA clubs nationwide to join in the goodwill and help to spread kindness. In return, Electric Ireland will reward the club that performs the most kind deeds with a cheque for €1,000. Another club, chosen at random, will be rewarded with €500.

As part of the campaign, Limerick Senior Hurler Shane Dowling paid a visit to Ardscoil Ris yesterday (21st of January) to surprise Limerick Minor Hurler Peter Casey with an act of kindness. As a reward for his hard work and commitment to his county team in 2014, Shane took Peter and his classmates for an impromptu puck-about. Electric Ireland is now calling on other GAA players and clubs to get involved.

Any simple act of kindness can be logged Twitter. To enter your kind act use the hashtag #PoweringKindness, tag your chosen charity; Childline (@ispccchildline), Irish Heart Foundation (@Irishheart_ie) or Marie Keating Foundation (@MarieKeating) and tag your GAA club. At the end of the week the club with the most kind acts will be rewarded with €1,000.

Follow Powering Kindness through the Electric Ireland Twitter @ElectricIreland and #PoweringKindness hashtag.
