Our senior football team recorded a 4 point win over Curry in the second round of the Kiernan Cup league on Friday last under the lights at Tourlestrane. The team put in a very strong second half performance and ran out victorious on a scoreline of 0-12 to 0-8. We wish a speedy recovery to Niall Egan who received a head injury during the game.
The team play Coolaney/Mullinabreena this weekend, details of the game to be confirmed later in the week.

On the back of a heavy defeat last week to Sylane, our senior hurlers put up a very tough challenge to Annaghdown on Saturday last but unfortunately lost, 2-8 to 1-5.
Best of luck to Sligo hurlers who take on Warwichshire in Pairc Na hEireann on Saturday in round 1 of the league. We wish the team and management all the best for their coming season.

The club's monthly meeting will take place this Wednesday, the 4th of March, at 9pm at the clubhouse. The first quarterly draw of our Lotto Syndicate will also take place at the meetings. Reminding all members to have their membership to the lotto up to date before the draw. Winners to be posted next week.

With all our underage teams preparing for their seasons ahead, our U-16s will be the first to return to the field on the 15th of March at 11.30am when they take on Tubbercurry in Kilcoyne Park. Following the success of the U-16's campaign last year, the team will compete in "A" league this year and are grouped with neighbours, Tubbercurry, Coolany/Mullinabreena and Eastern Harps.

Well done to our club representatives on the St. Attracta's CS juvenille team who beat St. Muredach's on Friday in the Connacht quarter final, the game ended 3-9 to 2-8. We wish the team and management all the best for their semi final encounter with Rice College. The game takes place on Friday, the 6th of March, at 12:30pm in the Connacht GAA center.

Hard luck to Sligo men and ladies who both suffered defeat against Clare and Roscommon in their respective National League fixtures at the weekend. The men play Louth on Sunday at 2pm in Markievicz in a must win tie, while the ladies have a break from fixtures this weekend.
