Geevagh GAA club is holding a one day camp for primary school children on Monday next, March 30th from 11am to 3pm.  A place in the camp may be secured by contacting Teresa O’ Rourke at 087-1369259 or by simply turning up on the day. Participants are advised to bring a gumshield and packed lunch

Congratulations to the girls of Geevagh N.S and coach Sarah Reynolds who have qualified for the mini 7s finals following victories over  knockminna N.S and Balintogher N.S during the week. Training for U6s and U8s began with a session on Monday, march 23rd at 6.30 pm. New players are always welcome.                                                                                        Following a narrow defeat to St Michael’s in last week end’s warm up competition. Our senior ladies took on perennial rivals St. Nathy’s in the first round of the league at Bunninadden on Sunday morning. Geevagh held a narrow advantage at the break but controlled the second half to run out   comfortable winners. Among those to impress on the day was new goalkeeper  Sinead Mc Tiernan. Congratulations to chairman Joe Taffe and Sligo County Board who unveiled the new training facility at Scarden by switching on the floodlights on Friday evening last. As a number of Geevagh players are involved with development and senior county squads, this project deserves our full support. Our senior footballers suffered a one point defeat at Castleconnor on Sunday afternoon. We fielded a strong team on the day and were unlucky not to have come away with at least a share of the spoils. Senior training continues on Tuesday and Friday evening at 8.15.
