Our intermediate team hosted St Michaels last Sunday in the second round of the league. With the aid of breeze in the first half we got off to a flying start with James hitting the net with a great solo effort within the first few minutes. We built off this foundation and raced into a great lead, with some fine scores coming from the boot of Gavin and Ciaran. The half time score was 1-9 to 0-1. The second half started as the first half ended with a good score from Martin. But then St Michaels hit their golden patch and kept us in our own half and started to build up a few scores with some good free taking. St Farnan`s then empty the subs bench and began to take control again and tacked on some well worked scores to give us some breathing space. There were some intense goal mouth scrambles in the closing stages but our defence held firm to run out winners on a final score, St Farnan`s 1-15  St Michaels 0-7.Team on duty F Hargadon, J.
