Our Seniors travelled to Bunninadden on Sunday afternoon for a bruising encounter in the Senior Football League Division One which saw the visitors come out on top with a score line of 2-3 to 1-11. The performance in the second half was much better than that in the first half but the team showed the spirit required to maintain their challenge in the league.

Saturday night St Mays travelled to Sooey to take on Shamrock Gaels in a Division 3 match. In wet conditions two early goals saw St Mary's take control of the game and lead by 5 points at half time. The second half continued in the same pattern with early goals putting the result beyond doubt. Most impressive for St Mary's on the day was Kyle Harrigan and the midfield partnership of Peter Mullan and Darragh Kiely. St Mary's ran out winners 5-8 0-8. Training continues again this week ahead of the St Patrick's game at the weekend. All panelists are asked to attend.

The underage coaching program continues to bear fruit and the U10 and U8 contingent travelled to Curry on Wednesday evening.  We were able to field 3 teams at the U8 level and all of the travelling players showed the skills and enthusiasm gleaned from the dedicated coaches on Saturday mornings.  They played some very entertaining football and the future seems very bright.

The U14 girls played away to Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in round 3 of the league on Friday night. In a competitive game, there was only a point between the teams 10 minutes into the 2nd half, but St Marys gradually got on top in the final 20 minutes with some great scores to win the game. They have now won 3 in a row . Next up is the last group game at home to St Molaise Gaels this Tuesday 26th at 7pm .

Saturday sees the 8th Annual Clifford Cup taking place in Kent Park & Kevinsfort with 8 teams competing for the Cup and Plate competitions. Please come along during the day to support the future stars from across Connaught and Ulster. There is no underage Coaching this weekend but normal service resumes on Saturday 6th June.

A Club social takes place on Saturday Evening in the clubhouse and all Players Parents and friends are invited to come along and enjoy the evening.
