Intermediate
The
intermediate team secured an important win in Division Two of the Senior
Football League last Sunday with a hard-fought four-point win over St Michael’s
at Quigabar. Level at 0-7 apiece at the break, Robert Jacob’s second half goal
proved pivotal as the lads finished strongly to secure the two points on offer.
One game now remains in the league, but at this juncture it is unclear as to
when it will take place. The intermediate championship is set to get underway
on June 28th.
U-16
Our
u-16 footballers suffered defeat in the Division Three league final last Monday
evening. Bunninadden ran out 2-12 to 3-4 winners on an atrocious evening at the
Sligo GAA Centre of Excellence at Scarden. Unfortunately, our boys never got
going and will be disappointed with their performance, but will reflect on a
satisfactory campaign and build again for the championship. The team was: Justin
McMahon; Niall Carden, Josh Ellis; Jonathan Culkin, Eoin Hallinan, Richard
Grimes; Finn Nelson, Rian Grimes; Darren Finnerty, Steven Hannon (0-1), Ciaran
O’Dowd (0-2, 1f); Bradley Nealon (3-0), Aaron Duffy (0-1). Subs: Daniel Clarke
U-14
Our
u-14s take on St Pat’s this Monday evening (May 25th) at 7pm in
Dromard. A win will put the team right into the mix for a semi-final spot.
U-12
The
u-12 team travel to Templeboy this Tuesday evening (May 26th) for a
league fixture versus St Farnan’s at 7pm.
U-8/U-10
Well
done to all our youngest players on good displays versus Easkey last week.
Hurling
Well
done to club footballer Aidan Morrison and the Sligo hurlers on beating
Lancashire in the Lory Meagher Cup last weekend.
