SLIGO GAA HEALTHY CLUB DAY
As part of the GAA’s national healthy club
scheme where the GAA is trying to promote Physical, mental and emotional health
of communities throughout Ireland using the GAA club as a central hub. Eastern
Harps GAA club in Keash, Ballymote Sligo will be hosting Sligo GAA’s first ever
Healthy Club Day on Friday the 31st July from 6pm to 8:30pm.
On the night there will be stands from the
GAA on health and wellbeing, Eastern Harps GAA club on the work they have done
as part of the GAA’s national healthy club scheme, Mental health Ireland will
have a stand and Thomas McBride of Mental Health Ireland will give a talk on
mental fitness and minding your mental health. Nutritionist Aidan Ward will
also have a stand about healthy eating and will give a talk on healthy eating
too. The Samaritans will be there with a stand as will the Irish Blood
Transfusion Service. There will be light refreshments on the night kindly
sponsored by Tansey’s Centra in Gurteen. All are invited to what will be a fun
and Informative night.
