GAA Coaching and Games Development in association with Connacht Rounders are supporting this Saturday's Launch of Recreational Rounders at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo at 11:30am.

GAA Recreational Rounders is a joint initiative between the GAA Games Development Department in Croke Park and the GAA Rounders Committee. The core aim of GAA Recreational Rounders and all our Recreational Games is to provide participation opportunities for all members and non members of the GAA in a social, recreational and fun environment. GAA Recreational Rounders is aimed specifically at ages 12 years and upwards.
The game itself is a schoolyard favourite with a twist! The introduction of the T Ball Batting Tee ensures that each participant gets an opportunity to strike the ball as far as they can! There is, also, an area in front of the T Ball Batting Tee called the T Zone. Ball must be struck outside this zone giving the Batter a better chance to get to the 1st Base.
This Saturday 29th August, GAA Recreational Rounders is getting into full swing in Connacht with a Come and Play morning at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo at 11:30am. There are no requirements bar turning up on time with some playing gear and a willingness to give GAA Recreational Rounders a try! So get yourself, your friends, your family or your work colleagues together for some fun and be in with a chance to win a family pass to the GAA Croke Park Museum.
