Both sides will feel this could be the county senior final in a couple weeks with the two teams in great form at the moment as both sides have a place in this year’s quarter-finals. This weekend the sides can forget about the championship for 60 minutes as both teams will be bidding to win the league crown from St.Mary’s last year’s winners.

The form guide would read better for Tourlestrane as to date they have three wins from three but in context Tubbercurry performance against Coolaney/Mullinbreena the last day out suggests that last year’s county champions Tubbercurry are starting to come back into form which really adds to this weekend’s league final .

It will be the first time Ray Dempsey will have his side in Markievicz Park and no doubt he will hoping that side can progress to the big final in couple of weeks’ time . One of the key battles on Saturday will be the midfield battle Tubbercurry will most likely have Brian Murphy and Stephen Gilmartin and they face the most likely pairing of Pat Harte and Stephen Henry who both performed expertly for Tourlestrane against Drumcliffe Rosses Point the last day out.

Meanwhile the other key battles will be in the half back line as David Kelly will be marked by Adrian McIntyre who looks to be back to his best as his tackling was of a certain quality the last day but he will have his work cut out against the talented centre forward Kelly who was impressive the last time against Coolaney/Mullinbreena .

This final could come down to the substitutes the sides can make over the 60 minutes and both teams have plenty of quality, it’s too hard to call.
