Our senior team travelled to Kevinsfort to play St Mary's in the final  fixture in Group 2 of the Championship on Sunday. Gaels were looking to avoid defeat to secure a place in the last eight of the competition. However two late goals for Gaels was not enough to bridge the gap that St Mary's had built up and the home side emerged 2-10 to 2-07 winners. Despite the optimism of two wins from our first two games in the competition we now find ourselves in a relegation battle. One pleasing aspect of the game was the return to action of Peter Wilson after a long layoff due to injury.

Our Boys U13 Feile Team continued their excellent form in the competition with a 13-13 to 5-05 win  away to Castleconnor on Wednesday last.

On Saturday last our U9 and U10 Boys travelled to Ballyshannon to take part in the Mick Shannon Tournament. It was a great day for the younger age group as they won the Shield competition defeating Ardra in the final and retaining the title we won last year. Our U10 Boys produced some great displays before going down to the host club Aodh Ruadh in the final.

Our annual La na gClub day takes place on Saturday October 17th. The traditional Balloon Launch takes place that day and we would ask everyone to support this important fundraiser for Bord na nOg.

Thanks to everyone for their continued support for the Fortnightly Club Lotto.  The next draw takes place  on Monday night October 14th  at 8.30pm.  Anyone interested in helping out with the Lotto can contact Cormac Feeney 085-1744873 Gay Kelly at 087-2932656 or Johnny Watters 086-8197901.
