COUNTY CHAMPIONS!!!

The curtain came down in style on the Club's year with the u/21s winning the "B" Championship Final in Gale force winds at Connolly Park Collooney on Sunday last.

With the St Pats having the wind at their backs in the first half, they went in six points up with the score 0-08 to 0-02. However with us having missed numerous scoring chances, the crowd in attendance knew that a six point cushion might not be enough for the St Pats lads, and right they were.

Two goals from CiarĂ¡n Stenson and 1-03 from Daire O'Brien paved the way for a famous victory. With a 13 point second half swing, the lads won out in the end on a scoreline of 3-08 to 0-10. Congrats to manager Bryan McGovern, his selectors and  team on their remarkable year.

This latest title means that Calry/St Josephs now have a County Title at every age from u/12 to u/21 and the victory brings the Clubs perfect season to a close.

Best of luck to all our All Star nominees Natasha McDonald, Metea Leahy, Carron Griffin, Aidan Devanney, Eoin Nicholson, Barry O'Boyle, Conor Griffin and the McGovern brothers Conor and Bryan. The All Star awards ceremony  takes place on Saturday night next 5th December at the Radisson Blu Hotel Balincar.

We extend our sympathies to the Henry family Kinsella on the untimely passing of John and to the Kapuruhamyge family of Carney and the Drumcliffe/Rosses Point Gaa Club on the tragic passing of Amy Kapuruhamyge.
