Club
Sligo fund raising Campaign launched
The highly successful Club Sligo fund
raising project which has enabled Sligo County Board to complete their Centre
of Excellence at Scarden was launched this week.
The project has 556 members across the
country and further afield and all members will have received a letter of
thanks from the County Board for their support in the past week.
Launching this year’s campaign County
Chairman Joe Taaffe made a point of thanking all those who have contributed to
Club Sligo over the past two years and looked forward to their ongoing support
for 2016.
He went on to say that the financial
contribution made by members and Clubs have resulted in Sligo having one of the
best facilities of this kind in Ireland.
In its first year the Centre of
Excellence has catered for over 400 sessions/games and is a tremendous benefit
to county teams and development squads.
The organising committee have included
an incentive for all those members who pay their Membership immediately by
rewarding them with free passes to Sligo’s four home Allianz National League
matches commencing with Westmeath this Sunday.
Members can also look forward to the
monthly draw for €1850 of cash prizes which has been popular since the project
commenced.
Any member wishing to collect their
free passes should send their Membership fee to Eamonn McMunn, Administrator
