GAA President set for Enniscrone

GAA club will hold their annual dinner dance this Friday, February 12th
at 8.30pm in the Diamond Coast Hotel, Enniscrone.
The special
guest for what promises to be a great night is GAA President Aogán Ó’Fearghaíl.
The Cavan
native will be on hand to present the usual club awards – Club Person of the
Year, Player of the Year and the Hall of Fame award.
The night
will also include the presentation of county medals to our U16 panel, who
claimed the 2015 Division Three championship.
In addition,
our U21 team of 1990 will be specially honoured on the night as 2015 marked the
25th year since their triumph in the Sligo U21 ‘A’ Championship.
This was a wonderfully talented crop of players – many of whom provided the
backbone of the intermediate team that won the championship the following year
– and we look forward to welcoming the panel of players and management team on
the night.
That
campaign culminated in a final defeat of Castleconnor, and match reports of
that memorable day in Easkey will be on hand on the night as well as online in
the coming days.
All in all,
it promises to be a great night’s entertainment in distinguished company and we
look forward to welcoming everyone from near and far to our annual
get-together.
