Well done to the Girls U16 team who won the A League with an exciting  win over Drumcliffe/Rosses Point last Friday. The Gaels found the going tough in the first half and were behind by two points at half time but a storming second half performance saw them win on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-7. Well done to the team and Managers Fiona Lyons and Aoife O'Connor. The team was: Meabh McDermott, Lisa Callaghan, Aoife Morrisroe (Capt), Katy McCann, Roisin Drury, Jade Lyons (0-1), Eba McCann, Chloe McTiernan, Lousie Merrick (0-1), Rachel Boyd (0-3), Erin Mullaney, Roisin Kearns (1-0), Makayla McLoughlin (0-5), Mairead Tuohy (0-1), Jane Benson (1-0). Subs: Katie Little, Aine Kearns, Laoise King, Isobel Clark and Aine Brennan.

The Senior team lost to Calry/St Josephs in the final round of the league last Sunday. The team was: Donal Tuohy, Colin Harte, James Lyons, Declan Willis, Conor Merrick, Keith McMorrow, Ciaran O'Connor, Liam O'Connell, Joe Henry, Darragh Hailstones, Derek Davey (0-1), Vinny Boyd (0-3), Johnny Quinn, David Quinn (0-6), Keith Candon  (0-1). Subs: Paul Brennan for C O'Connor, Daire Kearns for D Hailstones, Andy Flynn for C Merrick, Frank Quinn for D Davey, Joe Quinn (0-2) for J Quinn. They play the first round of the Intermediate Championship next Saturday at 6PM against Bunninadden in Collooney.

The Junior Ladies play their last championship group game this Friday at 7.30PM away to St Molaise Gaels.

The Minor team recorded a 3-12 to 0-13 win over Tubbercurry in the quarterfinal of A League last week. The team was: Ultan McKenna, Paul Harrington, Ben Tuohy, Evan Lyons, Daniel Murphy (0-1), Karl McKenna, Alan Kelly, Enda O'Connell, James Carroll, Darragh Hailstones (0-3), Daire Kearns (0-2), Andrew Flynn (0-3), Steven Willis (1-2), Seamus Hailstones (1-0), Luke Flynn (0-1), Subs: Conor McGreevy, Dylan Willis (1-0), Darragh Merrick, Niall Whelan, Patrick Benson, Daniel Lyons. They now face Owenmore Gaels on Thursday in the semi-final in Collooney at 7PM.

The Minor Girls get their championship underway on Tuesday against Owenmore Gaels in Riverstown Park at 8PM.

The U16 boys narrowly lost the A League Final last Monday against Eastern Harps on a scoreline of 0-10 to 0-8. The team was: Ultan McKenna, Shane McCann, Evan Lyons, Patrick Benson (0-3), Christian Monaghan, Sean Carroll, Bryan Johnston, James Carroll (0-1), Seamus Hailstones, Daniel Lyons, Dillon McDermott, Michael Barry (0-1), Dylan Willis, Paul Leyden, Shane Deignan (0-3). Subs used: Adrian Benson for M Barry.
 
The U14 boys play St Marys in Coola on Friday evening at 7PM in the first round of the championship.

The U14 girls play the League semi-final v St Mary's on Saturday evening at 6PM in Tubbercurry.
 
The U12 boys play the league semi-final against St Mary's in Kent Park on Tuesday at 7PM while the U12 girls are away to St Farnans also on Tuesday.

There will be no underage training next Saturday 30th. Training will resume as normal from 6th August

Thanks to those who provided sponsorship for the event, Martin Baker, Tony Wasylocha, Reggie Mc Nulty and to Justin Mc Morrow, Sharon Dineen, Mark Kilpatrick, Geraldine Killoran and all club members who helped out on the day.

There was no winner of the recent lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 3, 15, 16 and 27. The next draw is this Saturday in Sean Macs with the jackpot at €4,600.

The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Owen Sweeney, Collooney who died last week.
