Intermediate

There was major disappointment for our intermediate team and management last weekend when they suffered relegation to Division Three following a five-point loss to Geevagh at Quigabar, 1-11 to 2-3. A very disappointing first half resulted in a five-point half-time deficit, but after the break into the wind we took control to lead by a point with 15 minutes to go. However, a costly sending off midway through the half allowed Geevagh to stretch the game and they ran out winners. The team will have to regroup quickly, with the opening round of the Intermediate Championship next Saturday evening. They play St Farnan’s at 7pm in Easkey – please support the lads. Best of luck to everyone involved.

Minor

The minor team continue training this week in preparation for championship.

U-16

Our U-16s also continue training this week, and will play Castleconnor in the first round of the championship in a couple of weeks’ time.

U-14

The U-14 boys had two good run outs in challenge games last week, and this week play in their first round of the championship on Friday evening. They travel to Templeboy on Friday evening for a 7pm meeting with St Farnan’s. Best of luck lads.

U-12

The U-12 lads play their semi-final against St Patrick’s on Tuesday evening at 7pm in Dromard. Best of luck lads.

Black Pig Festival

Congrats to everyone involved in organising the Black Pig Festival last week in Enniscrone, which was a great success. We ran our own youth disco on Sunday night and it was a big hit with locals and visitors alike! Thanks to all club volunteers who helped out on the night.

Blotto winner!

Congratulations to intermediate team footballer David Clarke on winning the blotto jackpot of €3500 last Saturday evening. David’s winning numbers were 4, 12, 26. The draw continues every Saturday night. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Sympathy

The club expresses its sympathies to Donal Kirby and family on the death of his brother last week. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
