The Senior team made a disappointing exit from the Intermediate Championship last weekend. Despite a promising first half the Gaels never got going in the second half and only managed a point against a strong St Molaise Gaels. The final score was: 0-6 to 0-13. The team was: Donal Tuohy, Daniel Murphy, Paul Brennan, Declan Willis, Colin Harte (Capt), Frank Quinn, James Lyons, Liam O’Connell (0-1), Joe Henry, Vincent Boyd (0-1), John Paul Henry (0-1), Keith McMorrow, Keith Candon, David Quinn (0-3), Johnny Quinn. Subs: Joe Quinn for L O’Connell (inj), Darragh Hailstones for V Boyd, Ciaran O’Connor for F Quinn, Conor Merrick for J Lyons, Andy Flynn for C Harte, Daire Kearns for K McMorrow (BC). This was the final senior game of the year - thanks to all the team for their efforts during the year and to the Management team of John Quinn, Mark Tuohy and Ciaran Garry.

The Junior team are away to Eastern Harps in the Championship next Saturday 3rd at 6.00PM.


The Minor Boys advanced to the Quarter-final of the A Championship with a 2-16 to 1-14 win over Coolaney/Mullinabreena/Bunninadden last Thursday. The team was: Daniel Lyons, Paul Harrington, Daniel Murphy, Conor McGrievy, Patrick Benson, Karl McKenna, Alan Kelly, James Carroll, Enda O'Connell, Andy Flynn (0-4), Darragh Hailstones (0-5), Dáire Kearns (0-4), Seamus Hailstones (0-1), Steven Willis (0-1), Dylan Willis (1-0). Subs: Shane Deignan (1-1) for D Willis (inj), Darragh Merrick for S Hailstones, Emmett Dodd for D Hailstones.  They now take on Owenmore Gaels this Friday 2nd at 6.45PM in the semi-final.

The Ladies Minor team had a big win over St Molaise Gaels last Wednesday and are now through to the Championship final due to be played this Wednesday, details yet to be confirmed.

The U16 Boys team drew 3-6 to 0-15 away to Eastern Harps in the semi-final of the A Championship. They meet on Monday 29th in the replay in Coola at 6.45PM.

The U14 Girls play Tourlestrane this Friday in Riverstown at 7PM in the Championship.

The U12 girls play the Championship semi-final against St Mary's this Tuesday at 7PM in Kent park.

The winners of the Monthly draw were John Quinn, Gearoid O'Connor and Michael Tonry.

The club is currently selling tickets with a first prize of 2 All Ireland Final tickets - tickets are €5 each and available from any club member.

The Club is considering organising a trip to New York next May for the Sligo game. Anyone who may be interested should register their interest with Lauri Quinn or any committee member as soon as possible.

The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Michael Cryan, Ballinafad and Leslie Conboy, Riverstown who died recently. The club also wish to express sympathy with the Cawley family and former Club Chairman Seamus Cawley on the death of his brother Thomas Cawley, Cabinteely, Dublin. A minutes silence was observed at the monthly club meeting last Friday in his honor. Ar Dheis Dé Go raibh a anam.
