The Ladies Junior team lost to St Pats in the final of the Junior Championship last Saturday. Despite a shaky start the Gaels recovered well and dominated the game for long spells in the first half, however they could not convert this to scores and St Pats finished the half strongly with two goals which put them in a commanding position which they never relinquished. Well done to the Ladies in what was a fantastic year winning the League and getting to the final of the Championship. This is a very young team with seven U16's starting last Saturday and we have no doubt there will be more success in the years ahead. The final score was: 6-8 to 2-8. The team was: Catherine Tuohy, Aoife Morrisroe, Edel Lyons, Roisin Durey, Chloe McTiernan, Aisling Boyd, Naomh Quinn, Siobhan Brennan, Roisin Kearns, Rachel Boyd (0-3), Simone Kelly (1-2), Lousie Merrick (0-1), Mairead Tuohy, Sonia McDermott, Fiona Baker (0-2). Subs: Meabh McDermott, Aoife Brennan (inj), Erin Mullaney for M Tuohy, Joanne Harrison for S McDermott, Eilis O'Connor for R Durey, Aoife O'Connor, Sheona Leyden, Sarah Walsh. Thanks to the team and manager Gus Chapman for their work during the year.

The U14 Girls bowed out of the Championship losing to Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in the quarter final last Friday. The team was: Mia O'Regan, Grace O'Carroll, Ellie McDermott, Kate Brady, Danielle McGovern, Laoise King, Isobel Clarke, Jade Lyons, Ela McDermott, Andie Brady, Ana McCann, Amy Healy, Nadine Hargadon, Meave Lyons.
