Great fighting spirit was shown by our youthful senior hurling team to fight back from 1-11 to 1-8 down with minutes remaining to level the game at full-time following three super points against the breeze in Sunday's Sligo Senior Hurling Championship semi-final v local rivals Coolera Strandhill. In a tight competitive game it was all square at half-time 1-5 each as we struggled to take advantage of a strong breeze in our favour. A late Paul Kilcoyne goal following a great long pass from Gerard O'Kelly-lynch levelled the game after the first period. Our backs fought heroically in the second half with centre-back Cathal Jordan and Sean Heaney prominent. Midfielder Gerard O'Kelly-Lynch kept us in the game with some excellent free-taking, and his brother, Tony O'Kelly-Lynch popped over the equalising score in the last minute to bring the game to a replay. At the time of writing the replay had not been fixed but it is unlikely to be next weekend as a number of our players are involved in the St. Mary's team in the SFC Final on Sunday afternoon. Good luck to our sister club in the football final.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to our senior captain Mathew Davey who is recovering from injury sustained playing for Sligo Rugby Club on Saturday. Also get well soon to Niall Rooney who was injured during the semi-final.
