The Girls U16 team lost to Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in the semi-final of the A Championship last Saturday. The team was: Maebh McDermott, Chloe McTiernan (2-0), Aoife Morrisroe, Lisa Callaghan, Eba McCann, Jade Lyons (0-2), Lousie Merrick, Roisin Drury, Eala McDermott, Isobel Clarke, Roisin Kearns, Katy McCann, Jade Benson (0-1), Mairead Tuohy (1-0), Erin Mullaney (1-0). Subs: Makayla McLoughlin, Katie Little, Laoise King, Aine Kearns, Rachel Boyd, Aine Brennan. We wish Roisin Drury a speedy recovery from an injury sustained in the game. Thanks to Managers Fiona Lyons and Aoife O'Connor for their work with the team during the year and while it was not to be in the Championship, it was great to win the A League Final earlier this year.
The U21 team drew 1-15 to 2-12 with Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in the second round of the B Championship last Sunday. The team was: Stephen Keegan, Liam Tuohy, Ben Tuohy, Alan Kelly, Ciaran Kilfeather, Paul Higgins, Eoin Carroll (1-0), Daniel Murphy, Andy Flynn, Darragh Hailstones (0-6), Daire Kearns (0-3), Mark Kearns (1-1), Daniel Willis (0-2). Subs: Karl McKenna for B Tuohy (inj), Caolan McCann for P Higgins, Luke Flynn for M Kearns. They now play St Maloise Gaels next Saturday at home at 4.30PM.
The lotto draw takes place this Saturday in Sean Macs with the jackpot at €1,300.
