Thanks to all our club coaches who attended our underage coaching workshop in Oxfield. It was great to see such a big attendance. An initial draft of of the club’s new coaching manual was also distributed on the night. This is a live document which will be revised and updated at the start of each year. Well done to club players Michelle McNamara, Rachel Monaghan and Sinéad Regan who were part of the Sligo team which beat Waterford by 2-7 to 0-11 in Division 2 of the National League last Sunday in Cloonacool.

We’re holding a club registration evening on Wednesday, March 1st in Scoil Réalt na Mara, Rosses  Point from 7-9pm. Full registration details and membership fees for 2017 are available to view on the club website drp.gaa.ie.

Our Saturday GAA Nursery 2017 coaching begins on March 4th in Oxfield. Players born in 2011, 2012 and 2013 start at 9:45am sharp. Please note this session will be INDOORS for the first few weeks. A short introductory meeting, setting out our plans for the development of a new Club Plan for Drumcliffe/Rosses Point, will take place this Wednesday night Feb 22nd) in the Oxfield Centre (Foroige Room) at 9pm. All interested club members are welcome to attend.

Well done to our quiz team on Ocean FM’s Pole Position radio sports quiz, who successfully negotiated their first round match recently. The team trio of John O’Callaghan, Cormac O’Brien and Austin O’Callaghan now progress to the quarter-finals.
