The football  season got underway  on Sunday last when St. Farnan's / St. Patrick's  under 16 began their league campaign  away to Tourlestrane. The team got off to a good start with a point from a free by Jim Davis. Tourlestrane levelled before Fergal Curran and Jim added two points. At the seventeenth minute Toulestrane got the first goal of the match to lead 1-3 to 0-4. We finished the half on top with three scores including  a goal from Fionn Connolly. At half time the score  was St. Farnan's / St. Pat's  1-6, Tourlestrane 1-4.

We got a dream start after the half when a pass from Cahan Hallinan  to Jamie  O'Carroll ended in the back of the net. This was followed by a point from Jim. Tourlestrane added the next four points before our next score. We had many chances to close out the game and simple errors proved costly as Tourlestrane got a goal in the thirtieth minute  to snatch a draw. The final score was 2-10 each. The team was J. Cadden(P), L. Mc. Mahon(P), S. Molloy(F), J. Mc Munn(P), D. Williams(P)(0-1), D. Hallinan (F),E. Gordon (F),C. Hallinan (F), F. Curran(P)(0-2), T. Cawley (F), J. Davis(P)(0-6(5f),F.
