Well done to Easkey / St. Farnan's under 16 hurlers who won the county league final on Thursday defeating Naomh Eoin by 4-18 to 2-10. The St. Farnan's players on the team were Cahan Hallinan, Shane Molloy, Thomas Cawley, Tommy Esler, Adam Kilrehill and Kenneth Mitchell.
Hard luck to our county players, Eamonn Kilgannon and senior hurlers, Shane O'Brien and Sligo under 17's and Patrick O'Connor and senior football team on what was a disappointing weekend for all.
The junior team were defeated by Coolera/ Strandhill on Saturday by 3-18 to 2-7. The intermediate team play Castleconnor on Sunday next at 1 pm in Castleconnor. The under 8/10 teams play Calry/ St. Joseph's on Wednesday at 7 in Templeboy.
