The minor and under 16 teams are both in action this week in the championship. On Thursday the minors play St. Mary's in the first round of the B championship in Templeboy at 7pm. On Monday next St. Farnan's /St. Pat's under 16's play Tubbercurry/Cloonacool in their first round of the A championship . On Friday last the under 14 team put in a good performance ,despite losing against Ballymote/ Bunninadden in the second round of the A championship.
> On Thursday last Easkey / St. Farnan's minor hurlers had a comfortable win over Tourlestrane in the minor hurling championship. On Monday the under 16 hurlers had a comprehensive win over Ben Bulben Gaels. Well done to the club players involved with Western Gaels on their defeat of Calry/ St. Joseph's on Saturday.
> Hard luck to James Weir and Sligo minors on the narrow defeat by Derry in the All Ireland quarter final. Good luck to the club players involved with Sligo minor hurling team on Saturday against Meath.
