St Johns Lotto

In the Lotto draw which took place on Sat 19th there was no Jackpot winner. The winners of the consolation prizes were John Mc Andrew, Ballintogher; Noreen Leonard, Carraroe; Oisin Carty, Tonaphubble and Sheila Clancy, Geldof Drive. The next draw for a Super Jackpot Prize of E11,000 will take place on Sat Sept 2nd at 9pm in the Clubroom. Lotto tickets can be purchased in the following outlets – Applegreen, Pearse Rd.; Clifford Electrical, Carraroe; Crozon Inn; Gerry Mc Morrow’s Shop, Cairns Rd.; Blue Lagoon, Riverside; Cannings House and Garden, Cornageeha and Molly Fultons Bar and Restauraunt, Carraroe .

Under 12 Playoffs

Both of our Under 12 team are involved in playoffs next Saturday at 12.00 in The Markievicz Park. The Div 1 team will play Eastern Harps and the Div 3 team will play Shamrock Gaels. Please come along and support these teams.

Under 16 Championship

Our 16 boys completed their championship campaign when they were defeated by Castleconnor in Stenson Park by 4-13 to 4-8. Thanks to the panel of players and the team management for their efforts during the season.

Under 14 Championship

Our K & D Developments sponsored under 14 boys finished off their championship when they travelled to Easkey last week and came away with a victory over the home team when they notched up a massive 15-14 scoreline against  5-6 for the home team.  Again a big thanks is due to the players and management for the great work they put in during the year. The way this group of players have improved since the start of the year gives great confidence for the future.

Minor Championship

Our minor team continue their championship campaign when on Thurs at 7.00 when they welcome Geevagh- St Michaels to Stenson Park for round 3. The remaining game in this section is due to be played on Friday Sept 15th away to St Patricks, Dromard.

Junior Championship

Our Junior team are due to play Cloonacool on Sunday next at 2.00 in the Markievicz Park

Intermediate Championship

Our Burns Car Sales- sponsored Intermediate team will play St Patricks, Dromard in Round 3 of their group on the weekend of Sept 2nd

Sympathy

The St Johns club wish to express sympathy with the Higgins and Vallely families on the recent death of Yvonne’s father Edmund Higgins, Ballintogher . May he rest in peace.
