The club finished the year on a high note with a great 1-16 to 0-12 win over Eastern Harps in the U21 B Championship Final. In an exciting close game, the Gaels went into an early lead which they held for the entire game but it was not until the last ten minutes that the Gaels pulled ahead with points from Captain Michael Kilkenny and substitute Stephen Willis and a goal from man of the match Shane Deignan which gave the Gaels a deserved seven point win. Well done to the panel and management Brian Boyd, Donal Tuohy, Frank Quinn and Liam O'Connell on a great win. The team was: Daniel Lyons, Ben Tuohy, Patrick Benson, Karl McKenna (0-1), Andrew Flynn (0-1), Evan Lyons, Alan Kelly, Enda O'Connell, Michael Kilkenny (C) (0-2), Daire Kearns, Cian McDermott, James Carroll (0-1), Luke Flynn, Darragh Hailstones (0-5), Shane Deignan (1-4). Subs: Seamus Hailstones for A Flynn (inj), Stephen Willis (0-1) for C McDermott, Dylan Willis for J Carroll, Mark Kearns for D Kearns, Stephen Keegan, Emmet Dodd, Paul Higgins, Caolan McCann, Darragh Merrick, Marc Keegan, Niall Whelan, Daniel Murphy.

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot at the weekend with the numbers drawn 11, 23, 24 and 29. There was one match 3 winner, John Quinn. The jackpot now stands at €2,600 with the next draw on 16th December in Hartes.

The winners of the November monthly draw were Mark Tuohy, James Conlon and Sean McKeon.

The Bord Ná Nóg and main Club AGM's were held at the weekend. The only change in officers for the coming year is Martin Cassidy who takes over as Bord Ná Nóg Chairman, we wish him well in his new role while the club has also appointed Mary Quinn as a club patron.

The club wish to express sympathy with the family and relatives of Sean Keighron (cousin of club patron, Michael Reynolds), Michael McGowan, in England (brother of Tommy, Coolbock), Thomas Devaney, Sligo, (father of Thomas Devaney, Sooey) all of whom died recently.
