Operation Transformation

St Johns, in association with CADRA, are hosting an Operation Transformation health and fitness programme over an eight week period from this Tues Jan 9th to Tues Feb 27th. This is open to members and non-members of St Johns and the cost of the programme is E70. It will include talks on nutrition, mindfulness, motivation and health as well as indoor fitness / pilates / yoga/ bootcamp and fitness walks. If you have not already registered your interest it is still not too late. To do so please contact us on 085-2498067 or see our Facbook Page.  This is a great opportunity for the whole community to get a little fitter, shed a few pounds, break some bad habits, meet up with some old friends and make some new ones.

30 Year Celebration Book

Our 30 year celebration book is on sale in local shops and from club members. The book is full of interesting articles from club members and local celebrities and tells the story of our club since it was founded in The Carraroe Social Centre in 1987. It tells stories of the joys and sorrows, the wins and losses of our club teams over those years and the effects they have had on the players and those involved with the teams. It is a great publication and it would make an ideal present for somebody at home or abroad.

Sympathies

The St Johns club wish to extend sympathy to the Rennick and Clerkin families on the death of Tony Rennick, Greenfort.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Paul McNamara on being the latest St Johns clubman to make his competitive debut with the Sligo senior team when he came on as an early substitute in Sligo’s FBD League game against Galway. He will no doubt become a permanent fixture in the team before long.

January Club Meeting

The first club meeting of 2018 will take place this Wednesday at 8.30pm in the Clubroom in Cuilbeg. All members are urged to come along.
