Registration

This is a reminder that Coolera-Strandhill GAA Club member registration is now open online for the 2018 season. Access is through the club website on www.coolerastrandhill.com and by clicking on the green link. Team managers will not be responsible for accepting membership fees this year. Members who have been paying by direct debit may continue to do so if they wish, or they can opt for on-line registration. If you want to register and cannot remember your password, please click the “Reset Password” button and follow the steps. We ask that you register as soon as possible so as to reduce the significant burden of managing this process on the club registrar and committee. Only those registered by March 31st will be allowed to train and/or play.

Indoor Nursery Programme

The Under 5-8 Indoor programme continues this Friday March 16th in the Ursuline Hall from 6.00-7.00

Annual Club Social

Our annual Club Social takes place on Saturday March 24th in Coolera House. Food will be served at 9.00pm sharp and will be followed by the presentation of medals to our Senior Men and Junior Ladies and the announcement of the Club Person of the Year. This was a very enjoyable night last year and we hope that a large crowd will attend to honour the achievements of our adult teams. Tickets on sale from any committee member.

Scór Success

Congratulations to our quiz team of Trevor Hunter, Eamonn Mullen, Seán Carroll and Michael Heneghan which won the Scór Sinsir Quiz. They now go on to represent club and county in the All-Ireland Final on April 14th. Good luck lads.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The club is once again participating in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Participants and helpers are asked to meet at the junction of Mailcoach Rd. and Gallows Hill at 11.00. Club colours to be worn.

Junior Ladies

The junior ladies began their season with an away tie against Curry in the Spring League. Having lost a number of players from last year’s panel, we fielded a very young team. The home side proved too strong on this occasion and ran out convincing winners, but there were some very encouraging performances, particularly from Pamela Higgins in goals, Roisin Heneghan and Leah Kerrigan, making her return to adult football. Their next fixture is against Shamrock Gaels. Team; Pamela Higgins, Lauren McGarry. Kaela Kerrigan, Gráinne Redmond, Ellen Given, Aislinn Doggett, Ruth Goodwin, Attracta Halloran, Roisin Heneghan, Meadhbh Kenneally, Éilis Callaghan, Leah Kerrigan, Joanne Irwin, Ellen Monaghan.
