Intermediate

Our intermediate team secured their second successive win in Division Two with a 4-15 to 0-9 defeat of St Michael’s at Scarden last Saturday evening. The foundation for the win was the first half display which saw us lead 3-6 to 0-7 having played into the breeze in the opening period. Next Saturday Calry/St Joseph’s are the visitors to Quigabar on Saturday at 6.30pm. Please support.

Minor

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey minor team suffered a 4-18 to 3-8 defeat to Curry last Friday evening. They host Eastern Harps on Tuesday evening at 6.30pm.

U-16

The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey U-16 team play Calry/St Joseph’s on Monday, (April 16th) at 6.30pm in Quigabar.

U-14

Our U-14s had a difficult start to their league campaign after they let a half-time lead slip to lose out to Tourlestrane 5-7 to 3-11 at Quigabar last Thursday evening. They are next in action on April 26th against St Pats.

U-12
Our U-12s had better fortunes in their first league game after they were comprehensive winners over Easkey, 0-23 to 0-4. They are away to Tourlestrane next Tuesday (April 17th) at 6.30pm.

Donal Kirby RIP

The club was greatly saddened at the news of the sudden passing of Donal Kirby last week. Donal was a hurling stalwart and in founding the Western Gaels club in the late 1990s he revitalized the small ball game in west Sligo. He was a regular fixture at Quigabar with the various hurling teams within the club and at the time of his death was Assistant Secretary of the Sligo county board. We extend our deepest sympathies to Donal’s wife Christine, his son Daniel, daughter Emma and the extended family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Congrats

Congratulations to the boys and girls who made their First Holy Communion in Kilglass last Sunday.

Blotto

There was no winner of last weekend’s blotto draw. The jackpot rises to €4600 for next Saturday’s draw. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
