Ballymote are through to Abbott Cup final after a hard fought win against Owenmore Gaels last Sunday in Connolly Pk.  Ballymote playing with the wind in the first half took an early lead with points from Marty Underwood, Niall Brennan, Niall Colsh and Peter Lyons. Defence played well holding Owenmore Gaels to 3 points from frees.  Ballymote led by 0-8 to 0-3 at half time.  Second half Owenmore Gaels got more ball and with Ballymote losing centre back Paul Mullin to injury Owenmore Gaels reduced the deficit to 2 points.  In midfield Michael Rafferty and Michael Doody regained control and with Niall Brennan on form and introduction of Dylan Martin and Mark Irwin Ballymote  won by 4 points.  Final score Owenmore Gaels 0-12 Ballymote 0-16.  Team Michael Flannery, Daniel Clarke, Sean Stagg (Conor MaGuire), Kenny Meehan, Ciaran McGrath, Paul Mullin (Dylan Martin 0-1), Robbie Flannery, Michael Rafferty, Michael Doddy, Niall Brennan 0-4, Niall Colsh 0-5, Colin Byrne (Aidan Cafferty), Oisin Conlon, Peter Lyons 0-5, Marty Underwood 0-1 (Mark Irwin 0-1).
