Our U-14s lost out to Shamrock Gaels in the championship last week on a scoreline of 3-13 to 2-7. The U-16s had a walkover against Owenmore Gaels also last week. The Cloonacool/Tubbercurry minor team had a hard fought victory over Coolaney/Mullinabreena in the Community Park during the past week in the championship on a scoreline of 3-14 to 1-9. Our Junior squad had good workout against Mayo club Kilmovee/Shamrocks away on Saturday evening last in preparation for their up coming championship match against Curry in Bunnanadden Community Park on Sunday next 12th August at 1pm. All support appreciated. Training continues during the week. The U-12 hurlers will play Calry/St. Josephs in Kilcoyne Park on Tuesday evening next at 7pm. The U-16 footballers will play St. Farnans/St. Pats on Monday evening 13th August at 7pm. The minor footballers will play Tourlestrane in Cloonacool Community Park on Thursday evening next 9th August at 7pm. All club fixtures and results are available on the Sligo G.A.A. website each week. A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped out with car parking at the Intermediate championship match in the Community Park on Sunday last.The club extends its sympathy to the family,relatives and friends of the late Kathleen Delacy of Tralee Co. Kerry, sister of Margaret Carty Ballyglass, and also to the family relatives and friends of the late Anni-May Tansey of Gurteen, sister of Teresa Sweeney Leitrim-North and Bridget Brennan Tubbercurry and the aunt of senior player Damien Sweeney. May they rest in peace.
