Senior Football
Our Burns Cars-Skoda sponsored senior team began their quest
for the Owen B Hunt Cup in Curry on Sat when they took on title holders
Tourlestrane and despite an encouraging performance they were defeated by 0 -13
to 0 – 7. The champions, fresh from their Div 1 League title win, went into
this game as firm favourites but our lads put in a determined showing and held
their own for long periods of the game. Michael McNamara and his management
team can be well pleased with this improved display and can now look forward to
meeting Calry-St Josephs in a crunch game which is due to take place in Scarden
next Sunday with a throw-in time of 1.00. St Johns line-out; N O’Donnell; O
