The intermediate team play Bunninadden in the second round of the championship on Sunday at 6.30 pm in Tourlestrane.
The junior team began the Junior B championship with an away game against Calry// St. Joseph's on Sunday and got off to a winning start with 0-20 to 2-8 victory. The team had to work hard for this win despite dominating possession for most of the game. At half time we trailed by two points, St. Farnan's 0-9, Calry/ St. Joseph's 2-5. Calry/ St. Joseph's got a penalty  in the first half which was followed shortly after with a second goal. After the break we got a penalty but was sent over the bar by Gavin Calpin. Calry/ St. Joseph's maintained their lead but St. Farnan's dominated the latter fifteen minutes scoring the last nine points of the match. Patrick Flynn and Niall Crean worked very well in the half backs. Gavin Calpin was top scorer and Evan Kilrehill did well at number twelve. Substitute Ronan Molloy showed well when introduced. The team was Sean Hallinan, Darragh Gillen, Kieran Kilgannon, Conor Feeney, Patrick Flynn, Greg Feeney, Niall Crean, David Culkin (0-1), Michael Mc Gowan (0-1), Shane Feeney (0-3), Gavin Calpin (0-9(6f), Evan Kilrehill (0-1), Declan Cawley (0-4), Niall Culkin, Stephen Crean (0-1). Subs used: Ronan Molloy, Cian Murray.
St. Farnan's/ St. Pat's minors got their second win in the B championship on Friday when they defeated Tourlestrane by 2-19 to 4-11. St. Farnan's/ St. Pat's under16 team had a very convincing win over Tubbercurry/ Cloonacool on Monday in Kilcoyne Park on a score of 4-15 to 1-6. The team are now through to the C championship final.
On Friday Easkey/ St Farnan's under 14 football team travel to Grange to play St. Molaise Gaels in their second game in the B championship at 7pm.
A huge thank you to all who made our two day Football Camp such a huge success: to coordinator Ciaran O'Connor and his team of coaches and helpers who worked tirelessly on skills and training, to all the children who attended and to parents for their support. A second Camp is being planned for Hallowe'en. Details to follow.
The club needs volunteers to take part in our Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser on November 10. Dance training will be provided. If interested contact any committee member.
The club are holding a raffle with two All Ireland hurling final tickets as top prize. Tickets cost €2 or three for €5 and are on sale locally. The draw will take place tonight. The draw for club members to win a chance to purchase All Ireland hurling final tickets will also be held tonight in The Flying Horse.
The playing season for the under 12 team has finished for this year. Thank you to all the players involved, parents and coach Ryan Mc Coombe and David Lang. This was a small group of players but a great team of boys. Well done to all.
The next 50/50 draw is on Sunday, Sept.2. Well done to Adrian Smyth who picked up €189 in this week's draw.
