Four of our hurling teams where involved in club action during the week and all four achieved success on the pitch.

On Tuesday evening our U-12 hurling team had a great win 17 to 9 against Drumcliffe/Rosses Point in the Sligo U-12 B Final at Sligo GAA Centre of Excellence in Scarden. Player of the match Dara Mostyn top-scored with 11 scores and captain Treasa O'Kelly-Lynch finished 6 times. Well done to the team and mentors with a skilful and determined performance against talented opposition. Stand out players included backs Thomas Hargadon and Harry Cawley,  Conor Golden at midfield, and Matthew Mulholland and Patrick Murphy in the forwards.

On Wednesday evening our senior hurling team played host to Tourlestrane in the Martin Brennan Cup semi-final in Kent Park. They continued their winning run following four straight group stage wins in the Sligo SHC, culmunating in the previous weekend's away win 3-16 to 1-16 against Western Gaels, with a convincing 4-23 to 1-5 scoreline. This result sends the seniors into the final of the tournament against either Calry St Joseph's or Coolera/Strandhill on 5th September. Gerard O'Kelly-Lynch top-scored with 1-9, with Conor McGovern adding the second and fourth goal and Tony O'Kelly-Lynch adding the third goal as an understrength Tourlestrane were dispatched with some ease.

Next up for the senior hurlers is a round 5 SHC game at home to defending champions Calry/St. Joseph's at 6.30pm on Saturday 1st September. Training continues at 7pm on Mondays.

Our U-10 team had a great day's hurling at a well-organised blitz hosted by Naomh Molaise Gaels in Grange last Saturday afternoon. The team had wins over Calry St Joseph's, Coolera/Strandhill, and hosts Naomh Molaise Gaels to top the final standings. Well done team and mentors! Many thanks for the hospitality and facilities provided by the host club.

Our Minor (U-18) team had a comprehensive win over Tubbercurry last Saturday evening 12-6 to 0-6 in Round 3 of the Sligo MHC, following up good wins over Tourlestrane (5-13 to 7-3) and Drumcliffe/Rosses Point (6-7 to 6-4) in Rounds 1 and 2, and leaving the team top of the 5 team group after 3 rounds, with the final game away to Easkey/St Farnan's to come in round 4 on 30th August.

Our U-14 hurlers host Tourlestrane on Wednesday at 7pm in Round 3 of the Sligo U-14 HC. Good luck lads and hopefully a win will kickstart the campaign.
