Intermediate
Our
Intermediate team booked their place in the quarter-finals of the championship
following a 2-12 to 0-13 defeat of St Patrick’s at Castleconnor on Saturday
evening last. In dreadful conditions, we made a slow start before John Paul
Carden’s goal helped us lead 1-6 to 0-5 at half-time. JP added a second goal
after the restart and put us on the way to securing top spot in Group Three.
The quarter-finals are scheduled for September 8th/9th.
Minor
The Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey
minor team take on Curry in the championship in Quigabar next Thursday at 7pm.
U-16
The
Enniscrone-Kilglass/Easkey U-16s fell to a heavy defeat away to St John’s last
Monday evening. They play Tourlestrane on Monday evening (August 20th)
at Quigabar at 7pm in the B Championship semi-final.
U-14
Our U-14s put
in an encouraging display to overcome Tourlestrane in the B Championship last
Friday evening at Quigabar, 2-16 to 1-10. They will hope for a similar display
when they travel to take on Eastern Harps next Friday evening at 7pm in Keash.
Club lapel pins
There are a
limited number of lapel pins showcasing the club crest – and importantly the
correct spelling of Enniscrone as Gaeilge agus as Béarla – available at
present. They are a quality item that would make a great present, and also show
your support for the upcoming plebiscite on the town name. They are available
from any committee member for €10.
Top soil
There is
top soil for sale from the pitch at Quigabar. Contact Declan Rouse (086)
